About Me:
I love building robots and creative mechanisms of all sorts.
I recently completed both an MBA and an MS in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Robotics and Control at the University of Michigan, graduating with High Distinction and concentrating on strategy, technology, and automation. I am especially drawn to the space where hands on building meets bold systems level thinking, where you can zoom into a gearbox and zoom out to the business model.
Before graduate school, I spent several years at SRI International developing advanced robotic systems ranging from medical devices to renewable energy automation, and co-invented a patented lightweight robotic brake. More recently at Whirlpool Corporation, I applied systems engineering and operational strategy to improve supply chain quality at scale.
I am fluent in Python, CAD, and ROS, and I speak Mandarin and Spanish. I am happiest in motion, whether sailing, skiing, scuba diving, playing rugby, or working on art. In the ocean, on the field, or in the lab, I am drawn to building things that move with purpose.
